A duo of Biltong snacks has been launched by new snacking brand Ember, designed to “meet a gap in the market for high protein snacks that deliver on both health and taste.” Available in two variants – Original and Chilli – they brand claims the snacks are gluten free and contain 20% more protein than other brands. Harry Ember, co-founder of Ember brother says: “With sales of Jerky and Biltong booming, the category is primed for a lifestyle brand that offers a premium quality product. With the launch of Ember, our plan is to open up meat snacks to the ‘guilt free snacking’ consumer.” Ember Biltong is available in 30g individual bags and multi-packs, retailing at £2.49.
