Organic chickpea puffs brand Hippeas has confirmed new listings in 400 Tesco stores and 475 Asda stores. Both supermarkets will launch Cheese & Love and Sweet & Smokin’ flavors. To coincide, the brands’ packaging has been given a refresh; not only is the chickpea puff clearly communicated on the front of pack, new bright color strips highlight the different flavors. Craig Hughes, managing director at Hippeas UK & Europe, said: “The launch into Tesco and Asda is a big win for Hippeas, cementing our place as the UK’s fastest growing free from savoury snack brand. Supported with our new look packaging, which puts the puff front and centre on shelf, we look forward to even more consumers giving peas a chance over the coming months.” The new listings follow what the brand claims is a highly successful launch year for Hippeas, which first came to market in the UK in August 2016. It is stocked in over 10,000 outlets with additional retailers including Waitrose, Ocado, Boots, Whsmith, Holland & Barrett, Amazon, Wholefoods, Planet Organic, and Natural Kitchen. Hippeas organic chickpea puffs retail at 99p for a 22g bag and £1.99 for a 78g sharing bag.
