Ball takes aerosol cans 360° with innovative custom shaping technology

25 Jan 2019 --- Aluminum aerosol packaging innovator Ball is to unveil its latest can technology – 360° degree custom shaping – at the ADF&PCD exhibition in Paris on January 30-31. Ball says that its new technology brings another dimension to can contouring, using a process that allows custom shaping, symmetrically or asymmetrically, up to the full circumference of the can, ultimately benefiting both brand owners and end consumers.

Under the tree: Axe launches new gifting range aimed at minimizing waste

26 Nov 2018 --- Unilever owned fragrance brand Axe, known as Lynx in the UK, has launched its new range of gifting sets in time for the holidays. London design agency PB Creative was tasked with the packaging enhancement, which aims to reduce complexity, increase sustainability and add a festive, luxurious feel to make the packs stand out on-shelf.

Squeaky clean: Colgate and TerraCycle partner to offer oral care product recycling

01 Nov 2018 --- Colgate has partnered with UK recycling company TerraCycle to enable consumers to recycle their oral care products and packaging. The program allows consumers to recycle any brand of toothbrush, toothpaste tubes and caps, outer packaging, electric and battery toothbrush heads and toothpaste cartons for free, while raising funds for the school, charity or non-profit of the senders choice. Speaking to PackagingInsights, a TerraCycle spokesperson noted that prior to the scheme launching, oral care products and packaging was one of the most frequently requested categories for recycling at TerraCycle.

Herbal Essences launches vision-impaired bottle design in US first

16 Oct 2018 --- Herbal Essences is producing the first-ever mass hair care bottle design in North America that will make it easier for vision impaired consumers to distinguish its shampoo and conditioner products through the sense of touch. The Proctor & Gamble-owned (P&G) brand’s newly enhanced package features tactile indentations that will help differentiate the brand’s shampoos from its conditioners in-shower given they share the same bottle shape, alleviating in-shower confusion and helping consumers confidently perform daily tasks.

M&H Plastics inspire brand revamp for Archiman skincare brand

17 Aug 2018 --- Archiman, a men’s skincare brand from France, has recently worked with RPC M&H Plastics to produce their packaging in the form of flexible tubes. Each flexible tube features an intricate decoration pattern that M&H was able to print, in-house, thanks to its one-stop-shop facilities. The abstract tube decoration is intended to allow the user to “imagine what he wishes.”
