B’more Organic, makers of organic skyr-based protein smoothies, is taking New Year New You to new heights and will begin 2018 with a reduced 12.8 ounce bottle and rebrand. The Baltimore-based company will be showcasing it in their hometown at the 2017 Natural Products Expo East. The rebrand is in partnership with Interact Boulder, the leading design agency focused on the natural products industry. The 16-ounce to 12.8-ounce change will result in a reduction in cost from $3.99 to $3.59 SRP. The more affordable cost aligns with the convenient nature of the product and category, potentially generating more trial and loyalty. Data shows that the drinkable yogurt category is on the rise, growing 62% from 2011-2016, while 93% of consumers noting they consume yogurt as a snack.
“We’re proud to be the only organic drinkable protein drink that’s higher in protein and no added sugar on the market,” says Andrew Buerger, Co-founder of B’more Organic. The new bottle, along with the redesign will help B’more Organic stand out on shelf. “Our goal was to transform our current mountain theme to convey an active and aspirational brand,” says Amanda Sains, Marketing & Business Development Director. “It also alludes our charitable giving to our mountaineering nonprofit, Jodi’s Climb for Hope. The team at Interact understood our goals from the get-go and we’re very happy with what they’ve achieved.”
The mountains are the packaging’s new focal point. Each flavor has a unique color and peak. Every SKU works together to create a beautiful mountain range, creating a solid merchandising unit that helps the brand standout on shelf. “The new branding and design finally give B’more the recognition it deserves. By challenging the category and not the consumer, B’more has found its distinct voice within an otherwise whitewashed drinkable yogurt category,” says Fred Hart, Creative Director at Interact Boulder. The new look and bottle will launch in retailers in January 2018. Founded in Baltimore, B’more Organic is rapidly spreading its retail footprint to bring protein-rich skyr to US consumers in the form of creamy skyr smoothies. Coming in at #555 on the 2017 Inc. 5000, B’more Organic is the #5 Fastest Growing Natural Food and Beverage Company.
B’more Organics’ smoothies are made from Icelandic-style skyr yogurt, with up to 32 grams of protein, no added sugar and probiotic cultures in each bottle and sold in retailers like Whole Foods Mid-Atlantic, Wegmans, Kroger Publix and more. B’more Organic is a certified B Corporation, dedicated to sustainable business practices. The grass-fed organic milk used in its smoothies available in Plain Skyr, Banana, Mango Banana, Strawberry, Vanilla, Cafe Latte and Coconut comes from small, fourth generation family-operated farms.
